Moms in Prayer

Moms in Prayer is a group of mothers and grandmothers who meet weekly to pray for school-age children and for the teachers at our local schools. The theme verse for MIP is Lamentations 2:19: "Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord, lift up your hands toward Him for the lives of your children."

There are two groups that meet for MIP. If your children attend a Spring Cove School District school, the group meets Wednesdays from 9am to 10am here at MGBC. If your students attend a school in the Nothern Bedford County School District, meet at the Loysburg Methodist Church from 9am to 10am on Mondays. Any mothers or grandmothers interested in joining Moms in Prayer are always welcome! For more information about Moms in Prayer International go to www.MomsInTouch.org

Moms Matter

"Moms Matter" is designed for mothers of Preschoolers and Kindergartners. It meets the second Thursday morning of each month September through May 9:30 to 11:30. Come join us for refreshments, fellowship and topics relevant to moms. Child care will be provided.

First Place

First Place is Bible-based health and weight loss program that challenges women to make healthy lifestyle choices that honor God. The program encourages this through Bible studies and by equipping women to take proper steps to meet their physical, spiritual, mental and emotional needs. The theme verse for the First Place program is Matthew 6:33. "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you"

First Place meets weekly with two classes, Monday at 7:00 PM and Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Each meeting includes discussion time, instruction on nutrition, prayer and a Bible study. The ultimate goal is that members will commit their minds and bodies to God through becoming better stewards and caretakers of the "Temple of the Spirit".

If you are interested in joining First Place, please contact the church office (814-793-2513). For more information on the national First Place ministry, visit www.firstplace4health.com
