Abiding Hope Christian Counseling is a ministry of MGBC that exists to provide biblical counseling that encourages spiritual, psychological, emotional, behavioral, and relational health.  It is our desire to come alongside individuals in life’s most challenging moments, offering hope…

  • the hope of grace that is found in the person of Jesus Christ…
  • the hope of change that is the result of a transformed heart
  • the hope of healing emotional wounds through experiencing & applying the gospel

Abiding Hope seeks to offer a safe place where members of MGBC and the surrounding community can seek assistance and support that is biblically-grounded, clinically-informed, and church partnering. We offer counseling to both children (ages 8+) and adults through individual, family, and couples counseling. We are available to counsel individuals with the following concerns:

  • Emotional concerns (ex. Anxiety, fear, depression, anger, grief, guilt, shame)
  • Behavioral concerns (ex. Suicidal thinking, self-harm, disordered eating, pornography use)
  • Relational concerns (ex. Family of origin issues, experiences of abuse or trauma, difficulty in marriage)
  • Spiritual concerns
  • Various other pains & sufferings

Counseling services may be obtained by calling Abiding Hope and setting up a 30-minute phone session with the counselor. From there, your counselor will schedule your first session which will last about 90 minutes. This allows time for your counselor to gain an understanding of the nature of your struggle or concern and begin to formulate a course of treatment. After your initial session, several 50-minute weekly sessions will be scheduled.

It is our desire to provide quality and professional care at a reasonable price. Each counseling session costs $60.00 and may be paid by cash or check in person on the day of service. Checks may be made out to Abiding Hope Christian Counseling.

To contact the counseling center, you may call the MGBC office at 814-793-2513

or 814-325-9644
