MGBC has music ministries available to all ages and skill levels. Opportunities include our Worship Team, Youth Worship Team, Adult Choir and Kids Korale.

The praise & worship ministry at MGBC serves two main purposes. The first is to use the gifts and talents God has given to members of His church and to equip these members to use these gifts effectively. The second is to use music as an avenue for all people who walk through the doors at MGBC to worship and glorify God.

Our worship team (open to people of all ages) leads the congregation each Sunday at our weekly worship service. Additionally, our youth worship team (comprised of both 6th-12th graders and Synergy youth leaders) leads at our Wednesday evening Synergy youth meetings.

Rather than forming separate “bands” or “teams”, we operate as one team using “rotations” with interchangeable parts. This allows each of our musicians to work with different members of our team each month. This also supports our goal to remain unified in our leading of the congregation and worship of Christ. An equally crucial part of our team is our sound/multimedia volunteers. This group includes people of all ages and experience levels.

The MGBC Choir, directed by Laura Lloyd, sings each Sunday during our Praise and Worship Service and regularly joins the Praise Team in leading congregational singing. In addition, the choir prepares for and presents two seasonal cantatas each year. Weekly rehearsals are held each Wednesday at 7:00 PM. The choir is open to anyone who enjoys singing. Kids Korale is a children's music and drama group that puts on two programs for the church: once in the Spring and again at Christmas. All children age 4 through 5th grade interested in participating in Kids Korale are invited to attend weekly practices each Wednesday at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
