Growing up in Martinsburg, Laura began attending Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church when she was five. Laura was raised in a musical family and received her earliest musical training from her mother, who also previously served as choir director at MGBC. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana in 2004. In November of 2006, Laura began serving as the MGBC Choir Director. She previously taught music at St. Patrick's School in Newry and continues to give private piano and voice lessons. Laura is married to Jim, and they have seven children: Cullen, Cavan, Nevin, Rowan, Aaron, Lauren, and Hudson.
